    Come join us at Belk Library and Information Commons at Appalachian State University in beautiful Boone, North Carolina! 

    Belk Library is seeking a Business Librarian. This is a full-time (12 month), tenure track position. We seek to recruit and retain a talented and diverse faculty. Candidates who are members of underrepresented populations are strongly encouraged to apply.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Collection management
      • Work collaboratively as a member of the Collection Management Team, participating in collection analysis, materials selection, budget management, and policy development.
      • Select and manage information resources that address the teaching and research needs of faculty and students in business subject areas.
      • Determine resource needs of business departments/programs and advocate for a suitable annual fund allocation.
      • Follow information trends in assigned areas, and keep track of curricular changes.
    • Instruction & Outreach
      • Serve as liaison to the Walker College of Business, providing strong outreach efforts across undergraduate and graduate programs.
      • Participate in the Library's instruction program for business students and faculty, including classroom instruction, individual research consultations, and reference services, both on-campus and online.
      • Assist in the assessment of information literacy instruction and reference services.
      • Serve as the primary contact for questions about the collection, intellectual property, and licensing agreements.
      • Maintain regular communication with the faculty and students in the Walker College of Business.
