    The Syracuse University Libraries Department of Learning and Academic Engagement (LAE) invites applications for the role of Reference and Instruction Librarian.
    The Reference and Instruction Librarian will provide general and specialized reference and instruction services to Syracuse University students and other patrons. The librarian in this position will serve as liaison to campus departments that serve international students and students from historically underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, such as the English Language Institute, Center for International Services, Office of Multicultural Affairs, and others as appropriate. As a member of the LAE Department, the librarian will provide in-person and virtual reference services and will train and support staff and graduate student employees in their reference work. The librarian will also participate in the Libraries' undergraduate, introductory information literacy instruction program as a member of the Libraries' instruction team. The librarian will be an active contributor to the LAE Department and will serve on cross-unit teams that focus on Libraries-wide projects and initiatives as needed.

    • Assistant Librarian: $50,000/year  
    • Senior Assistant Librarian: $55,000/year  
    • Associate Librarian: $65,000/year  
    • Librarian: $75,000/year
