Charge: Offers librarians, support staff, students, and other advocates networking and collaboration opportunities, information sharing and programming to promote accessibility in academic libraries, including web accessibility, assistive technology, reference and instruction for users with disabilities and captioning processes.

    Hi everyone,

    If you're coming to ALA this weekend, I'm extending an invite to our Accessibility Assembly meeting  at 10am on Saturday, June 28, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center Room 106B.

    On Saturday's Agenda:

    • Introduction to Accessibility Assembly and invitation for members where we have vacancies.
    • Unveiling of ala.org/accessibility
      • Outlining purpose and new content
      • Welcoming new contributions to the site in the future
    • Open forum open to all ALA accessibility group members and allies.
      • What challenges are we facing in today's political environment?
      • What can we do to improve accessibility in this environment?

    Hope to see you there!

    Feel free during the forum to talk about your activities and where everyone could collaborate.
