The IJIDI publishes research articles and special section publications that include multidisciplinary perspectives on the intersection of equity, social justice, and information within the library and information sciences (LIS) field. The journal seeks to expand the discourse on how access to, interaction with, and the use of information by a range of populations can impact individuals, communities, and society. IJIDI is a quarterly, open-access, online journal indexed in SCOPUS, JSTOR, EBSCO, and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ); the journal uses a double-blind peer-review process.

For this culminating 2024 issue, we are seeking submissions on the following topics:

    • Artificial Intelligence (AI) in libraries, archives, and other information settings
    • Information practices during times of social change
    • Literacy or reading practices in response to COVID-19 recovery
    • Geographical approaches to navigating information behaviours
    • Methodological approaches to LIS research and practice
    • Heritage-based research within LIS and cognate fields
