    Hello ANSSers,

Here's a free event of possible interest...

"You can't have social justice without intellectual freedom": Spring 2023 Symposium with Dr. Emily Knox

Join HxLibraries for our Spring 2023 Symposium with intellectual freedom, censorship, and book banning scholar Dr. Emily Knox on Feb. 23 for Freedom to Read Week.

How should library workers navigate dual commitments to intellectual freedom and social progress?

How should information institutions respond to information disorder?

What information is communicated in content (aka "trigger") warnings, and where are they used?

These are some of the questions Dr. Emily Knox explores in her research on intellectual freedom and censorship, information ethics, and information access.

Emily will explore the question "Why you can't have social justice without intellectual freedom" for HxLibraries virtual Spring 2023 Symposium.

Join HxLibraries for our virtual Spring 2023 Symposium with Dr. Emily Knox during Freedom to Read Week on Thursday, February 23rd at 3pm CT via Zoom by registering (via Google Form).
