HISTORY in a streamlined collection development policy

  • 1.  HISTORY in a streamlined collection development policy

    Dear History Librarians,

My name is Jesus Alonso-Regalado. I am a subject librarian for History, Latin American Studies, and Romance Languages at UAlbany SUNY.
I am currently chairing a working group charged with the development of a collection development STREAMLINED policy  that is focused on general principles and practices. This policy will NOT include a section for each subject we collect in our library.

If any of you know of any streamlined policies that include some content intrinsically related to any special characteristics of the field of History, I would appreciate if you could share with me. Even if our policy will be streamlined, we would like to include some principles and practices connected with broad categories such as History, Social Sciences, Sciences, Humanities, etc.

    Have a nice weekend.
    Thanks!

    Jesus Alonso Regalado
