The Residency Interest Group's Programs Team invites residents to join us next Monday, March 30 at 2 p.m. EST / 1 p.m. CST /12 p.m. MST / 11 a.m. PST for:

RIG's Life After Residencies... Transferable Skills Part 1

While on the post-residency job search, librarians may feel uncertain how best to map the skills they developed during their program with the recommended skills highlighted in a job ad. This can especially be true if the resident librarian is interested in exploring a position or branch of librarianship different from their residency role. How can residents reframe accomplishments and accentuate those skills that are transferable to stand out amongst candidates?

Join ACRL's Residency Interest Group (RIG) for the first of a two-part Life After Residencies... webinar series on transferable skills. In this session moderated by Michael Harris, current resident at University of North Carolina - Charlotte, current and former resident librarians will discuss the post-residency job search. They'll highlight strategies for success in smoothly transitioning into permanent roles, whether within librarianship or elsewhere.

    Meet the Panelists:

    • Lorin Jackson, Assistant Director, Holman Biotech Commons at University of Pennsylvania
    • Tomeka Jackson, Assistant Professor - Linked Data Librarian at Middle Tennessee State University
    • Ima Oduok, Assistant Digital Preservation Analyst at the Rockefeller Archive Center
    • Katie Randall, Librarians of the Future Program Resident & Interdisciplinary Librarian at University of Colorado - Boulder

Looking forward to having you with us!

    Sincerely,

    Courtney
