From now through February 15, we invite you to submit your program proposals for the 5th National Joint Conference of Librarians of Color (JCLC), taking place October 7β11, 2026, at the Spokane Convention Center in Spokane, Washington.
This year's conference theme, Gathering at the Waters: Uplift | Encourage | Empower, draws inspiration in part from Gloria Gaynor's timeless anthem "I Will Survive." As we reflect on resilience, brilliance, and solidarity within our communities, we seek proposals that honor our collective journey and offer pathways toward healing, joy, innovation, and renewed purpose.
We enthusiastically welcome proposals from all types of libraries - public, academic, school, tribal, special, and community archives - as well as from library workers across all roles and career stages. Whether you are frontline staff, a mid-career professional, a director, a student, or anywhere in between, your perspective enriches JCLC and strengthens our shared work. Diverse experiences and approaches are vital to the conversations we hope to foster.
Proposal submissions will close on Sunday, February 15, 2026, 11:58 p.m. CST.
