Sent on behalf of Miguel A. García III, Ed.D., M.L.S., M.S., Reference and Instruction Librarian/Access Services Supervisor, Gateway Community College:

My name is Miguel García and I am a librarian at Gateway Community College in New Haven, CT. Gateway is one of the 12 community colleges in CT and is part of a library consortium with the other community colleges as well as the four regional state universities and Connecticut's online university. We have recently launched an Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Social Justice (EDISJ) team with a series of task forces responsible for exploring different aspects of EDISJ and how libraries can be active advocates. Our Recruitment and Retention task force is interested in learning more about the Diversity Alliance Residency Program and would like to speak to a librarian from a participating institution at our next meeting on Wednesday, December 8 from 11-12. Please message me directly at mgarcia3@gwcc.commnet.edu or call me at 203-285-2059. I look forward to hearing from you!
