BCALA is presenting the BCALA READ-A-THON on Giving Tuesday - November 30, 2021, 1pm – 9pm (EST). The program will kick-off at 1:00pm with BCALA Leaders reading from the Black Librarians in America Series. From 1:30pm-8:30pm, readers will read excerpts from their favorite works – Maximum of 5 minutes only please.

Here is the BCALA READ-A-THON schedule:

1:00 pm - 1:30 pm - Welcome Address and BCALA Proud – (BCALA Leaders read passages from the Black Librarians in America Series)

1:30 pm – 2:30 pm – Open Mic – (Readings from any work of your choice)

2:30 pm – 3:30 pm – Historical Speeches

3:30 pm – 4:30 pm – Young Adult Literature

4:30 pm – 5:30 pm – Open Mic – (Readings from any work of your choice)

5:30 pm – 6:30 pm – Poetry Hour

6:30 pm – 7:30 pm – Children's Story Hour

7:30 pm – 8:30 pm – Calling all Authors (Read from your original work)

8:30 pm – 9:00 pm - Closing Remarks from BCALA Leaders
