    Hello!!

I hope it's okay for me to post this here. I wanted to share an opportunity to present a 5-minute lightning talk to a DEI and Antiracism  I'm involved in. These lightning talks are free for anyone to attend and free for anyone to submit proposals!

    More information below:

The Oberlin DEI and Antiracism Committee (ODAC) welcomes proposals for short, 5-minute/5-slide lightning talk presentations to be delivered, tentatively, the week of February 20th. The session will be held over Zoom.

The theme of the lightning talks will focus on disability/accessibility, with preference for presentations that touch on intersectionality with antiracism efforts. We are also particularly interested in hearing from those who are personally impacted by disability/accessibility limitations within libraries and librarianship (if they so choose to identify). Topics may include, but are not limited to, disability/accessibility with respect to library services, collections, and spaces; as well as policies, technologies, and practices that support equitable access to libraries and their resources. We welcome presentations from librarians, staff, managers, and students throughout libraries; as well as presentations that involve collaborations with other campus partners.

Proposals are due by 11:59 pm ET on Jan 27, 2023. Proposals will be reviewed by ODAC, and you will receive a response by Feb 6, 2023.

(Please note: this will be a *free* event open to all, and registration will be sent at a later date.)
