Project Outcome for Academic Libraries - Peer Discussion Board

Project Outcome helps academic libraries understand and share the impact of essential library services and programs. It is designed to give libraries simple tools and supportive resources to help turn better data into better libraries.

This community is for Project Outcome users at academic libraries to discuss their use of outcome measurement, ask each other about patron engagement strategies, and further the thoughts and conversations that begin with acrl.projectoutcome.org.
Here, you can find various threads to ask and answer questions, start your own conversations, or further your own learning about how libraries are using outcome measurement to improve their patron-focused programs and services.

    Sorry for Cross-Posting

    Dear Library Colleagues,

Are you doing any interesting research in reference? Tell us about it.

The Reference and Statistics Committee invites you to present your research to an engaged audience of library professionals at the 31st Annual Reference Research Forum at the 2025 ALA Annual Conference held June 26 - June 30, 2025, in Philadelphia. This hour-long session is a historically well-attended event and a great opportunity to extend the impact of your research. Submissions are blind refereed.

Past topics for the Reference Research Forum include but are not limited to, chat reference, virtual reference services, bilingual reference, library access, assessment of reference services, and impact of reference services on library staff.

We welcome submissions from any library workers engaged in reference services in any type of library. LIS students and LIS faculty who teach reference services are also encouraged to submit proposals. Membership in RUSA, ALA, or any other professional organization is not required.

For more information and to submit your proposals, please visit this link.

Proposals are due by January 31, 2025. If you have questions please contact our committee co-chairs Greg Dachille (gwdachil@gmail.com) or Tisha Zelner (tisha.zelner@usm.edu).

    Respectfully Yours,
