The RIG Programs & Proposals team seeks speaker recommendations for a webinar series about job searching for current/recent resident librarians, as well as LIS students interested in applying for residency programs. We are tentatively planning for the series to begin in late spring/early summer 2022.
To prioritize the experiences and insights of RIG members, we are putting out a call for any interested speakers from this group with relevant experiences for the following planned sessions:
- Session 1: How to evaluate job ads and prepare application materials
- We are looking for a speaker with experience reviewing applications and participating in search committees in any library setting.
- Session 2: How to craft your Diversity statement, Teaching statement, and/or Research statement
- We are seeking up to 3 panelists, each of whom can speak about creating these kinds of statement when applying to any relevant library setting.
