As everyone is aware, one of Chapters Council's main purposes is to give the various state and regional chapters opportunities to share initiatives they have undertaken recently, especially if those initiatives might prove relevant to the work of other ACRL chapters. We already have an opportunity to do so twice annually via the Chapter Topics Newsletter. I would like to extend an additional opportunity, however, for chapters to share any interesting or unique projects via a webinar open to Chapters Council members. The webinar is currently scheduled for Wednesday, February 7, from 10:00 to 11:30 AM Eastern Time (9:00 to 10:30 AM Central Time). Each presentation may last 10-15 minutes, including time for questions, which should allow for at least 4-6 presentations.
If you would be interested in presenting, either individually or as part of a group, on behalf of your state or regional chapter, please let me know, at eedwards@ilsos.gov, by Friday, January 26. Include a brief description of the project or initiative your presentation will cover and how that project or initiative is relevant to ACRL chapters in general. At this point, we plan to accommodate all interested presenters, as long as the proposals are relevant to Chapters Council and its members. Also, if you would be willing to host the webinar (serving as a presenter is not a requirement), please let me know.
