Project Title: Librarians and Accessible Reading Materials
Principal Investigator: Kenneth R. Fleischmann, Ph.D.; Student Researcher: Jaxsen Day
Hi, my name is Jaxsen Day, and I am a doctoral student in the School of Information at UT Austin. I am writing this e-mail to request your participation in a research study about how librarians serve students who are blind or visually impaired, particularly in terms of the provision of accessible reading materials. I am hoping to learn more about academic librarians' perspectives on and experiences with accessible reading materials.
I would very much appreciate if you might be willing to participate in a 60-90-minute interview. Interviews will be audio recorded and then transcribed. All interviews will be conducted remotely, via Zoom. All participants who are selected for, schedule, and complete the interview will receive a $50 Amazon gift card.
If you are interested in participating in this study, please complete our survey at the link below:

Participants must be 18 years of age or older; currently working full-time as an academic librarian at an institution of higher education in the United States; and have ever provided reading materials for and/or served students who are blind or visually impaired. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions at jaxsen@utexas.edu
Thank you very much for your consideration of this request, I hope to be able to talk with you soon!
Best,
Jaxsen
