Call for Panelists: Copyright Literacy & International Library Users at ACRL 2025

  • 1.  Call for Panelists: Copyright Literacy & International Library Users at ACRL 2025

    Posted 13 days ago
    Esteemed Library Colleagues,
My research team plans to propose a panel presentation at ACRL 2025 that addresses library support for copyright literacy particularly as it pertains to international students & faculty at college/university/academic libraries. We are seeking 2-3 panelists who would be interested in joining us in this presentation.

We are especially eager to hear from you if you work with international students (undergraduate or graduate), faculty, or other researchers and can speak to your work helping these global users navigate:
    • copyright/copyright literacy
    • publishing
    • scholarly communications
    • other aspects of the complex landscape of information & intellectual property,
We expect the panel session to last 60 minutes, which includes the panelists' presentations and a Q&A session. Individual panelists will speak for 10-15 minutes apiece.
Interested parties should email Caitlin MacKenzie Mannion at cmm766 [at] nyu [dot] edu with a brief (1-2 paragaph) description of a talk you're interested to present by May 20th, 2024. Panelists can expect a response before the end of May.

    Basic details you should know:

    • ACRL 2025 will be held April 2-5, 2025 in Minneapolis, MN.
    • Panel presentations will be held in-person, not virtually.
    • The full panel presentation proposal to ACRL for conference review will be due June 7th, 2024.
