Academic Library Services to International Students Interest Group

We are librarians involved in a pilot program offering paid experiential learning to DACA and undocumented students. We are looking for two participants from other campus libraries working to support this vulnerable population of students.

Our undergraduate fellowship program expands access to crucial career development and skill building opportunities to students normally constrained by the same legal challenges posed by all other areas of their lives. We believe that a panel like this one would offer conference goers a unique, valuable model for library support and wider-reaching student success possibilities. We invite you to consider offering your experiences and perspectives to this panel for a proposal to ACRL, April 2-5, 2025. 

If interested, please respond off-list to schaubg@gvsu.edu and dierkina@gvsu.edu with your name, institution, and a brief description of how you are involved with DACA/undocumented students on campus. We'd love to include your work in our proposal and look forward to learning from and presenting with you in Minneapolis.
