Thank you very much, again, to everyone who was able to attend the June 15 Chapters Council membership meeting. For those who could not participate, please watch this space for the meeting minutes from outgoing Chapters Council Interim Secretary Laura Hall.
The Chapters Council leadership is starting the process of planning for this year. One of our first tasks is to complete and submit the 2023-24 "Year-End Report and Work Plan", which is due to ACRL by Thursday, August 31. I will also post the final version to this space. In the meantime, however, I would like to ask the Chapters Council membership for any input it might have on specific initiatives or broader goals that you would like the Chapters Council leadership to consider incorporating into the planning part of the document. As a starting point, here are the top three priorities for which attendees voted at the June 15 meeting.
- holding a twice-annual webinar to share interesting or unique projects
- recognizing individual Chapters' achievements
- creating "ad hoc" programming on topics of interest
If you have any specific projects or broader goals that you would like to share with the Chapters Council leadership, please send them to eedwards@ilsos.gov by Friday, July 21. For your reference, I have attached the 2022-23 "Year-End Report and Work Plan".
