Moving beyond compliance: Meaningful communication access for Deaf and Hard of Hearing patrons
Join Bridging Deaf Cultures and the Library Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (LSDHH) at Nashville Public Library to explore how libraries move from ADA compliance to meaningful communication access. Participants will learn practical steps for building inclusive library services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities. The program covers accessible program design, staff workflows, communication access tools, and community partnerships that support participation across library systems. A Q&A will follow the formal presentation.
