As ANSS Vice-Chair, I am excited to invite you to join our vibrant community of anthropology, sociology, and criminal justice librarians through committee service. The ACRL Anthropology and Sociology Section (ANSS) is currently seeking volunteers for committee appointments beginning July 1, 2025.
ANSS committee service offers valuable opportunities to:
- Shape the future of anthropology, sociology, and criminal justice librarianship
- Network with colleagues from diverse institutions
- Gain leadership experience in academic librarianship
- Help advance ACRL's commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Build your professional service portfolio
- All committee work can be completed virtually
- Face-to-face attendance at conferences is not required
- Committee appointments are typically two-year terms

Eligibility Requirements: You must be a current member of both ALA/ACRL and ANSS to be considered for appointment. If you need to add ANSS to your membership (at no additional cost), please contact ALA Member Services at 1-800-545-2433.
