Earlier this month, ALA launched Reader Voter Ready, our 2024 voter engagement campaign. This year's campaign includes a rebranding of our web page, the development of new resources, and an array of programs and events between now and November.

The primary goals of the campaign are to: 

• ensure that library workers, volunteers and supporters are registered, informed and ready to vote in federal, state and local elections during 2024 and beyond, and   
• uplift and support libraries across the country as they serve voters in their communities with a range of resources and programs. 

The launch of Reader Voter Ready includes a call to action to the entire library ecosystem to pledge to be registered, informed, and ready to vote. We ask that you share this call with your members. You can find social media graphics on the campaign home page.

Watch for new resources, programs virtually and at ALA Annual Conference, and additional calls to action. We will share occasional updates to announce these, and we welcome your feedback throughout the campaign. 

 We know librarians are voters. We know readers are voters. And we know that, working together, we can increase voter participation in 2024 and help our communities and nation recognize the promise of a participatory democracy.
