    Folks headed to Philly for ALA Annual, Ginny and I are so excited to meet you there!  If you'll be in town, mark your calendars for Friday at 2:30 - - details and agenda below!  And, Ginny and I are going to do our best to add a virtual component to this meeting - - we'll be working out the details on Wednesday, and we'll update the group with Zoom links at that point.  Warmly,  Heather and Ginny

    Greetings, ACRL AI DG members!  Join Ginny and I for an in-person gathering at ALA Annual this year!  Our plan is to offer this event as a hybrid meeting, so you're also welcome to join remotely, but please offer us grace if we run into trouble with AV setup on the day of.  Details below...

      • Recap the ACRL Plan for Excellence

      • "How can academic libraries leverage AI in ways that align with the ACRL Plan for Excellence?" 

      • Breakout discussions: Envisioning how academic libraries will leverage (and influence) AI in each of the five impact areas in the ACRL Plan:

    Good evening everyone,

    Heather and I have a short update to tomorrow's Friday, June 27, 2:30-3:30pm EDT meet up at ALA Annual in Philadelphia:

    We are super excited to see all who can make it to the Discussion Group tomorrow in-person!

    -- We have lively prompts prepared for each breakout group and we're looking forward to some great discussions. :-)

    UPDATE: We're going to keep tomorrow's ALA event In-Person Only -- to preserve the short event time, focus in on the in-person experience, and prevent an unsatisfactory remote experience.

    We will follow up with details for an Online Version of this event within a couple weeks - with the same discussion topics for those who cannot attend tomorrow in-person -- we definitely don't want to lose out on all our members' insights and ideas!

    See you all tomorrow if you're able to attend ALA and see the rest of you soon in our next online meetup!
