    Hello ALSIS,

     

    Hope this finds you well. We are writing to share our programming for this semester and hope you will be able to join us. Everyone's voice and contributions are welcome and important, and we hope you all continue to stay engaged in this community. These are suggestions we have come up with based on feedback from some of you. Please feel free to reach out anytime to share topics for discussion or activities you would like to see the group engaged in.

     

    For Spring 2025 (January- June 2025) here's what we have planned.

     

    1. BYOA- Bring Your Own Article- Monday, February 10, 2025- 2pm ET.- PASSED EVENT
      You can still add an article to the ALSIS Shared Zotero Library.
      Criteria: Any article that addresses Library & Information services to International students

     

    1. Panel Discussion:  Library Tours, Tutorials & Instruction for International Students - Sometime the week of March 10
      We will have panelists share information about library tours, tutorials and other outreach initiatives designed specially with international students in mind.  Discussion and Q&A to follow.  If you are interested in presenting, please contact Elizabeth Young Miller (elm522@lehigh.edu).

     

    1. ACRL Conference ALSIS Programming- Roundtable Discussion- April 2, 2025- April 5, 2025, Minneapolis, MN

    Roundtable 15: Good practices for inclusive and culturally responsive library services for international students

    Date and time: Thursday 4/3/25 9:30 AM - 10:15 AM CT

    Location: Exhibit Hall BC

    Speakers: Mark Mattson, Peggy Nzomo, Emily Reed (Brief introduction of the topic )

    PS. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to facilitate at each of the tables. If you will attend the conference in person- please reach out to Peggy Nzomo @Nzomo, Peggy to express your interest in being a facilitator.
