    Hello ALSIS!

    Hope everyone's semester's off to a good start. We are writing to welcome you all to the group and to provide information about the activities/ programming we have planned for the 2023-2024 academic year.

     

    The purpose of ALSIS group is to promote and foster discussion about academic library services to international students. We aim to be inclusive, and encourage all to be active, participate and share activities, programming, or any new ideas you have regarding work with international students. You can do this at any time by posting on this listserv. You can also ask any questions you have on here. We also strongly encourage you to participate in the virtual and in-person activities/ meetings for the group. Please find below opportunities to engage and stay active in the group:

     

    Looking ahead:

    Fall 2023

    • Survey: please look out for a survey that we will send out this week. The purpose of the survey is so we get to know who the members are and what your interests are.
    • Activity 1: Roundtable Discussion/ Breakout rooms- Topic: BYOA - Bring Your Own Article. (Details and registration will be sent out in a sperate email)
    • Activity 2: Panel Discussion: Topic: International students/ sense of Belonging (Details will be sent out in a separate email)

     

    Spring 2024 : Do you have suggestions for the type of programming you would like to see this Spring? Please reply to this email with your suggestions.
