This Friday, June 20^th, we will be submitting all documents for discussion and record at ALA Annual Conference to the AASL Board of Directors. If your state association has not yet re-affiliated for the 2014-2016 cycle there is still time to make it into the Annual Conference board report. If you submit your application to me tonight, or any time tomorrow, I will be able to list your organization as an affiliate.

Please note, this is not an “affiliate deadline” --we will happily take reaffiliation applications anytime, and will be reporting on the status of re-affiliations again at Midwinter 2015. However, I would love to report to the AASL Board of Directors that the majority of state associations are re-affiliated!

This was just brought to my attention yesterday without knowing who was responsible for submitting the form. As you can see, I am again only receiving the information that NJASL has not re-affiliated fairly late and I do not have access to all the information at this time. I will fill out the form as soon as I can gather all the required material but the timing is very poor given the increased responsibilities school librarians have at this time of year. On top of the usual, I have been working until 8pm most nights trying to weed and pack up my collection so my floors can be redone this summer. If you can include NJASL with our intent, I will get the form to you this weekend.

Pam, I'm happy to add NJ on the list of affiliated organizations as an addendum to the board documents if I get the application this weekend. In fact, that goes for everyone- if you can get the applications submitted  to me before I leave for Annual Meeting on Thursday morning next week, I’ll add make sure the board knows!

Have Arkansas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico re-affiliated?  Texas completed forms and submitted them on Thursday, June 19th.  Did you receive them?  I have sent email to the other three.  I don't have personal phone numbers, or I would call them.  They are all off for the summer at this time.  Hope they are checking their school emails.
