As a librarian at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Libraries I am seeking participants who are 18 years old or older and work in a U.S. public or academic library or on a U.S. college campus in a capacity that supports food security. The research study is called “Public and Academic Libraries Respond to Food Insecurity.”
Food insecurity is an increasing problem for individuals in communities of all types. For the purposes of this study, information about the efforts libraries make in support of food security is sought. I would like to know what initiatives library workers started, and how they handled challenges along the way. In addition, I am interested in campus programs for food security that directly or indirectly involve academic libraries.
Study procedures include voluntary participation in an online survey that should take about 5-10 minutes of your time. You will not receive compensation for participation. If you have questions, please contact the PI, Rene Tanner (rene.tanner@unlv.edu).
