I wish to acknowledge and honor the myaamiaki (Miami), Lënape (Deleware), Kiikapoi (Kickapoo), and saawanwa (Shawnee) people, on whose ancestral homelands and resources Indiana University East is built.
The 1795 Treaty of Greenville and the website tool Native Land Digital was used to help identify which nations once lived or roamed through the Richmond, Indiana area. This tool isn't perfect, so any suggested corrections or additions is welcome. I appreciate any conversation that will improve my support and education of any communities.
