Come join SustainRT for the Climate Café experience with The Resilient Activist on March 25 at 6 pm Central. This event continues our pilot project to introduce librarians around the U.S. to our Climate Café gatherings via Zoom to envision hosting future in-person Cafés in their local libraries.
Our intent is two-fold:
- To nurture and enhance the emotional well-being of those who are experiencing the negative emotional impacts of climate change and environmental destruction.
- To host pilot events through a collaboration between The Resilient Activist and the American Library Association's Sustainability Roundtable to envision hosting in-person Climate Cafés in local libraries to build community, help folks feel supported in their neighborhoods, learn about environmental activities and activists in their area, and more.
So gather your favorite beverage and a journal, settle into a comfortable spot with your Zoom window open, and just be yourself.
The Agenda:
- Introduction to Climate Cafés
- Wisdom/Spiritual/Indigenous Thought for the evening
- Short Guided Meditation for centering and focus
- Conversations in Breakout rooms
- Reflections on breakout room conversations with a Climate-Aware Therapist
- Closing poem
