Hello colleagues!
(Thanks for understanding the cross-posting!)
The SustainRT Education & Programming Committee is putting together a webinar entitled "Creating space and advocating for sustainability at your library." Our intent is to explore and share ways in which library staff can encourage colleagues and administrators at their branches/systems/organizations to adopt sustainable practices as part of the everyday routine at every level of administration!
We'd love to hear from our SustainRT community about your experiences in supporting sustainability in your libraries. Did you introduce programs or actions into your workday routines that worked for your branch/staff colleagues as well? Did you argue on behalf of sustainable practices in a way that convinced administration to adopt more sustainable practices system-wide? Please let me know! I'd love to share your stories (or, even better, would love to invite you to speak about your experience yourself in this presentation)!
Our webinar is scheduled for Thursday, February 2nd, so if you could share your stories by January 19th, that would be excellent! You can respond to me here or email me at
katrinaortega@nypl.org.
Thank you in advance for your willingness to help us learn about how to make sustainable practices more commonplace in libraries!
Warmly,
Katrina Ortega
