This week is held every year during the week leading up to Earth Day and is the nation’s largest environmental education event inspiring sustainability, environmental learning, and stewardship for K-12 students and beyond. The event is traditionally hosted by the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), although they’ve expanded their outreach on this topic to be a year-round effort because environmental education and climate justice is a year-round commitment!
Get Involved in Environmental Education
Now more than ever, it is crucial that we maximize access to environmental education resources and spread awareness of our climate crisis. NEEF’s resource toolkit includes webinars, infographics, guides, and more towards broadening our understanding and capabilities for outreach regarding this important topic.
When it comes to addressing climate change and being good stewards of the earth, we all have a part to play. Join SustainRT this week in advocating for environmental education in our libraries and communities!
