Hello SustainRT members!
Do you cringe when you see vendors at conferences and events hand out plastic knickknacks that will ultimately end up in the trash? Would you like to encourage vendors to consider the sustainability of the swag they order and give out? Are you going to ALA Annual in Washington D.C.? Then consider joining the SustainRT Public Advocacy and Awareness Committee in sharing our newly developed
Sustainable Swag Rubric with vendors at ALA Annual!
If you'd like, you can print the PDF with the QR code out (maybe on some recycled paper) and hand it to vendors, or leave them surreptitiously at offending booths. You can also download the PNG file and display it on your phone to share with vendors. Remember to be respectful as you share the good word about sustainable swag. Thank you for helping spread this important message!
By the way, if you would like to encourage your colleagues at your own library to consider switching to sustainable swag (or need some guidance yourself), we have a
version of the rubric for library workers too!
