ALA announced that it is seeking applicants for one Endowment Trustee to serve a three-year term ending in 2026. Anyone is welcome to apply; you don't have to be an expert, but you should have some investment skills, be involved in ALA, and be able to prove that you have judgment and analytical skills. Endowment trustees have the authority to hold, invest, and disburse endowment and other long-term investment funds as directed by the ALA Executive Board. You can read the call letter here for more details or visit the ALA Press Release.
All applicants will be required to submit an electronic application, as well as upload a CV and three references. You can preview the application here. The deadline to apply is May 8.
For this and other information on the qualifications and responsibilities of an ALA Endowment Trustee, contact Keith D. Brown, Senior Financial Analyst, Finance Department at kbrown@ala.org or (312)280-4255.
