This may be old news to some folks, but I wanted to make sure folks were aware of this initiative.
I saw at The Guardian (UK) today that a number of news sites, including many in the United States, have committed to a week of front page coverage of Climate Change this September to coincide with the
UN Climate Action Summit. The initiative, called Covering Climate Now, was originally co-founded by The Nation and the Columbia Journalism Review and now has more than 60 news organizations signed on.
While this is not necessarily directly related to libraries, the possibility of using this opportunity to promote information literacy, science literacy, and sustainability initiatives in the library seemed like a good enough reason to pass the information along.
