SustainRT's Education and Programming Committee welcomes Saša Vidmar and Ana Kosič from France Bevk Public Library in Nova Gorica, Slovenia, and Teresa Bolton, from Kansas City Public Library, Missouri, USA, to share with us two innovative and inspiring seed libraries and how they are serving their communities.
Saša and Ana helped launch the Seed Library Project in Slovenia, educate their community through events, workshops, and school visits, and have created a unique app to elevate the use of the seed library with their patrons.
Teresa is the Director of Kansas City Public Library's Central Library and supports the seed library at the Ruiz Branch. Her library partners with the Kansas City Community Gardens and the Local Master Gardeners to host classes, workshops, and free public programming, as well as lends nature themed backpacks.
