Thank you to all SustainRT members who participated in our latest election.

I would like to congratulate our newly-elected SustainRT officers, Tina Chan and Eric Tans! Effective July 2021, Tina Chan will begin her role as coordinator-elect and Eric Tans will serve as member-at-large. Both candidates bring a strong background in implementing sustainable practices in their organizations and show commitments to sustainability in their personal lives. I'm looking forward to working with our newest Steering Committee members!
I would also like to thank everyone who ran for these positions. All of our candidates showed vision and dedication to sustainability in libraries, and we need both these things if we're going to help our organizations and the communities we serve continue to thrive. These two positions are just the tip of the SustainRT iceberg; there are many ways you can work with SustainRT, and we need your help. In the coming years, we'll be working to advocate for more sustainable practices from library vendors, build sustainability into professional conferences and programming, strengthen connections between our members, and research tools and resources to make more of our organizations more sustainable. We have a number of committees that will be helping us do this work, and if any of these things sound like something you'd like to work on or you've got ideas for, please complete the ALA Volunteer Form (http://www.ala.org/aboutala/committees/volunteer/frm_vol/) for one of our SustainRT committees. We'll be making committee appointments soon to get ready for our new year. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions as well at cconlin@midhudson.org

Thank you again to all our candidates, and congratulations and welcome, Tina and Eric!
