Call for Lightning Presentations Proposals for SustainRT Discussion Session at ALA 2022
Addressing social equity (one component of the Sustainability triple bottom line) requires that we build and use Cultural Competency skills in order to effectively interact with the diverse members of our communities. Let's consider any or all of these questions.
- How have you or your library staff addressed or engaged with issues of cultural competency in order to move sustainability initiatives forward?
- Who or what initiates cultural competency skill-building efforts?
- What's worked and what hasn't?
- How is success measured?
- Who measures success?
Presenters use 5 slides and have 7 min to present their content (15 min Q & A at session end).
Submit lightning presentation proposal by May 6th. Presenters will be notified by May 13th.
Presenters are expected to attend ALA Annual 2022; cost of registration and attendance is not compensated by SustainRT.
