    Welcome to the AIRUS Winter 2024-25 weekly discussion!

    Throughout the upcoming two months, we will encourage discussions centered around artificial intelligence by providing thought-provoking questions and valuable resources. For our December discussions, we will be chatting about AI LibGuides.

    Questions

    • What would you include in an AI Tools LibGuide? 
    • Does your institution have an AI-related LibGuide or website you'd like to share? 
    • Do you have an AI LibGuide that you find useful and want to shout out to?

    Initial Thoughts:

    A step I took when creating an AI LibGuide was to locate other library guides on AI. I put a call out through ACRL and RUSA and cataloged them on my FIU Libraries' AI LibGuide, https://library.fiu.edu/ai/libguides. AI LibGuides need to include sections on AI literacy, issues & concerns related to AI, AI tools, prompt engineering, and AI citations. They need to focus on the practical use of AI for your community. At a research library, any LibGuide needs to focus on students and faculty and how they can effectively, efficiently, and ethically use AI tools.
