This community may be interested in a recent Ithaka S+R-contributed video for the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI), a joint project of EDUCAUSE and the Association of Research Libraries that focuses on the intersection of technology and information management/libraries, especially in higher education and the research enterprise:

Making Artificial Intelligence Generative for Higher Education: A Multi-Institution Research Project: https://youtu.be/dS9kOw4NTCw

The Making Artificial Intelligence (AI) Generative for Higher Education project, led by the non-profit organization Ithaka S+R, brings together 18 institutions of higher education in the U.S. and Canada to explore how generative AI is impacting teaching, learning, and research at the postsecondary level. This presentation provides an overview of the activities Ithaka S+R undertook, from the project's launch in September 2023 to its conclusion this summer of 2025. The presentation also gives the highlights of the collective research findings, which stem from semi-structured interviews with instructors and researchers conducted by the participating institutions. The findings shed light on how generative AI is being adopted in teaching, learning, and research contexts; challenges instructors and researchers are facing; and their support needs in relation to AI.

    Sincerely,

    Paige
