PLA Digital Literacy Workshop Cohort

Hello Again!

I am so sorry for the errors in the Workshop Survey information.

I have corrected the issue and have updated the guide.

Please check out the UPDATED version attached.

Set Up Surveys

We are using the web-based tool, Project Outcome, to collect survey data.

• Please use the UPDATED PDF guide which takes you step by step
• You will need to set up a new account with login
• Use the template provided
• Set up one survey for each workshop offered
• Each survey will have a unique link you will share with participants
• You will be able to review the data and make reports (more details to come about this part)
• Deadline: Rolling

I created my first survey today, but the Survey Name is not populating into the Intro Message field as it showed in your instructions.

I cannot edit the field and wonder if something still needs to be tweaked in the original template? or am I missing something?
The pdf download also reflects this (see attached).

Short answer is to do what is easiest for you. For the Spanish language survey to be completely translated, you will want to do two separate surveys - one in English and one in Spanish. Otherwise, you can  create one survey in English as a multi-day initiative and then choose to share the URL (or PDF) for the English version or for Spanish (or French). For either option you choose, any added, custom questions will need their translations added during survey creation.

Great, thank you for clarifying! 

I am creating new surveys for the Spanish events, so that our additional question and the instructions translate correctly. So I did not have to re-enter the custom question every single time, I have been copying the one Spanish survey that I created from the template, rather than creating each from a template. We have 8 Spanish programs, so that would be incredibly tedious.

I think we may be in a similar boat, as we'll be offering four workshops several times each. Does each individual session need its own survey, or do I just need to create a survey for each topic (ex, Computer Basics, Internet Basics, etc.)?

Catherine - I would recommend a survey for each topic (four, right?), with the multi-day initiative option engaged. Especially if it will be the exact same content by topic with the same instructor. Let me know if that answers your question.
