PLA Digital Literacy Workshop Cohort

Hi PLA,

I organized 10 workshops at 7 different locations throughout the city between the end of November and last week and despite my best efforts, and the efforts of the locations who hosted the programs, we came in under the minimum at 31 attendees instead of 50 (about 3-4 per program).  Our last program of the 10 was last week.  I knew we would have trouble meeting the attendance goal in the recommended number of programs since these are a new program offering for us and programs take time to build momentum, which is why I organized so many, but we still fell short.  We do have a decent amount of funds left over and I plan to organize more programs to build momentum from the Spring forwards.  As part of the program planning as well I made 150 program kits that include DigitalLearn materials that I am encouraging locations to give to patrons one-on-one after introducing them to Chicago DigitialLean topics.  Is this okay?  I plan to discuss this in the final reporting, but figured I would post it on here as well.

Hi Rachel,

I'm not sure what you program looked like but we are finding a lot of interest in AI right now.  See  https://plaid3.org/.  But I think digital literacy now has to include AI literacy as well.  And since it became hot so fast, I wonder if you could modify your topics to include it and try again?
