Volunteer Bio

I enjoy coordinating logistics, projects, people, and relationships with a focus on supporting growth and inclusion. I worked in higher education as a program coordinator for 4 years and and 5 years at a public library with direct public service. I am currently a reference librarian at a state library. I have familiarity and interest in technology.

I love to help people find the information they need by doing detailed research. Helping prepare people for whatever task is before them is rewarding work and I especially enjoy helping someone discover a resource they did not know was available to them. Developing training and instructional programs are fun projects to be involved in.

I was a Raphael Tuck & Sons Postcards Digital Initiatives Intern for The Newberry library for a short time. I really love ephemera.

Social justice issues and personal growth are important to me, but my feet are dry in the area of real activism. Anytime is the right time to get started though.
