We're excited to release "Linked data: The future of library cataloging," a position paper that helps answer the question of why the move to linked data is important for libraries.

The paper follows OCLC's path from decades of linked data research, to experiments and prototypes, the creation of more than 150 million WorldCat Entities, and, most recently, the web application and APIs now available through OCLC Meridian. Learn more in the press release.

Find out about the value that linked data can bring to your library catalog and discover the tools already available to you.

Excited about the linked data future? We are, too! To learn more about our linked data strategy and to subscribe to OCLC linked data updates, visit oc.lc/linkeddata.
