    Hi everyone -

    At the MAGIRT Board & Membership Meeting at ALA Annual I had mentioned the Machines Reading Maps Project at UMN and the Alan Turing Institute. Dr. Katie McDonough, UK Principal Investigator of the project, gave the keynote address at the 2023 BTAA GIS Conference (virtual). It's a good one -- here's a direct link to the recording! It's a little over an hour long. (I think the autocaptions are corrected because I think I corrected them. Not completely sure though.)

    Some goofball also talked about the keynote in her column in the March/April issue of Technicalities. ;-) ISSN 0272-0884, it's in Ebsco Library & Information Science Source. Here's a preprint of that too.
