Accessibility metadata helps patrons find resources that meet their specific accessibility needs and informs them of accessibility hazards such as motion simulations. In OCLC's April Virtual AskQC session, Accessibility metadata in bibliographic records, Kate James and Morris Levy will discuss ways to provide this information in your records.

Join us either Tuesday, 8 April at 10:00 am EDT (UTC -4) or Thursday, 17 April at 4:00 pm EDT (UTC -4), whichever is more convenient for you, as we cover MARC fields obvious (341 and 532) and not so obvious (041, 340, 546) used for this metadata along with corresponding RDA instructions. If you've ever searched cataloging documentation and thrown up your hands because you realized belatedly "access" is used to mean many things, let us help you in overcoming this limitation of keyword searching.

Registration links are here. On the Previous AskQC Office Hours page, you may access the recordings, slides, and Q&A from past virtual AskQC presentations. When you register, you will receive an email reminder before your chosen session along with a link to the Webex event. All Virtual AskQC Office Hours are available from OCLC at no charge.
