    Hello All,

It was great seeing many of you at ALA Annual! We had a wonderful time at our tour of the map collection at the San Diego Natural History Museum in beautiful Balboa Park on Friday. Saturday saw MAGIRT members joining together for a membership appreciation dinner on Coronado Island with an unforgettable sunset and nighttime view of San Diego's historic harbor.

We are already looking forward to 2025's ALA Annual in Philadelphia (my home turf), where we'll be sure to make more lifelong memories enjoying time with colleagues and conversations about GIS and maps. In the interim, we're continuing last year's trend of planning more outreach activities like collaborating with other ALA round tables on virtual events and holding another virtual MAGIRT symposium.

You won't want to miss what MAGIRT has in store for next year, so please take note of our revised Executive Board meeting schedule, now happening on the third Tuesday of the month at 3pm ET/2pm CT, starting on September 17. All are welcome at our Executive Board meetings, which is where you can learn about upcoming volunteer opportunities and pending decisions before the Board. Please save the Zoom info to your calendars now, that way you will have our meeting times handy all year. Details are below, and an ICS is file is attached.
