Reference librarians are making the most of AI tools to guide users through an infinite, evolving landscape of information.  Come learn how innovative approaches can help us meet diverse patron needs:

    • Robotic interventions to provide comprehensive reference services and enhance library operations.

    • Robotic analysis of user preferences and behaviors for personalized learning experience.

    • Use of virtual and augmented reality technologies to create immersive and interactive reference experiences for remote customers.

How has AI already changed your reference service landscape?  And what are the implications, challenges, and ethical considerations of integrating robots into reference services?

Presenter: Christine Andresen, Research & Education Informationist, MUSC Libraries, Medical University of South Carolina

This meeting is a joint presentation of the VRS* and ETS** committees.
