The mission of the Library Research Round Table (LRRT) is to contribute toward the extension and improvement of library research; to provide public program opportunities for describing and evaluating library research projects and for disseminating their findings; to inform and educate ALA members concerning research techniques and their usefulness in obtaining information with which to reach administrative decisions and solve problems; and expand the theoretical base of the field. LRRT also, serves as a forum for discussion and action on issues related to the literature and information needs for the field of library and information science.

    If you have experienced Long COVID while working in an academic library in the United States (including territories) or Canada, I invite you to participate in this exploratory survey-based study. The results of this exploratory study will be used to highlight potential implications for academic libraries going forward, including recommendations about how academic libraries can best support employees with Long COVID and possible avenues for further research. Participation in this study is voluntary. The survey should take about 15-20 minutes to complete and will ask you demographic questions (based on existing research about Long COVID and the populations most affected), questions about your experiences with acute COVID-19 illness and Long COVID, and questions exploring if and how Long COVID has affected your work life. Aside from the initial questions about consent, all questions are optional. If you share identifiable information in your responses, it will be redacted prior to analysis. No information that could directly identify you, aside from IP address, will be collected. This study is being conducting by Amanda Folk, Associate Professor and Head of Teaching & Learning at The Ohio State University Libraries, who can be contacted by email at folk.68@osu.edu. The Ohio State University's Institutional Review Board has determined this study to be exempt [2023E0365].
