Dear LRRT Members,
If you're attending ALA Annual in DC, make plans to attend these two LRRT events.
1) Steering Committee member Karen Harker has been working to revitalize the mentoring committee and program. On Sunday, June 26th at 4pm, members of the committee will host an information session at the Washington Convention Center (check the Scheduler for room details).
2) The LRRT Research Forum is returning, this time with a presentation of the Jesse H. Shera awards!
The LRRT Research Forum will feature three presentations:
1) "Lady Can Talk Forever:" Exploring Bilingual Public Librarian Discourse Through Care Theory by Maria Barker and Julie Frye,
2) It's Meaningful Work, But It's Really, Really Hard: Librarians' Understanding of their Work with Families Experiencing Homelessness by Vikki C. Terrile, and
3) Understanding Factors that Shape Archivists' Needs for a New National Finding Aid Platform by Lesley A. Langa, Merrilee Proffitt, Chela Scott Weber, and Lynn S. Connaway.
