The mission of the Library Research Round Table (LRRT) is to contribute toward the extension and improvement of library research; to provide public program opportunities for describing and evaluating library research projects and for disseminating their findings; to inform and educate ALA members concerning research techniques and their usefulness in obtaining information with which to reach administrative decisions and solve problems; and expand the theoretical base of the field. LRRT also, serves as a forum for discussion and action on issues related to the literature and information needs for the field of library and information science.

The Library Research Round Table (LRRT) invites you to attend our Chair's Program.  Our theme this year is, "Real Research for Real Librarians", which is highlighted by the presentations from this year's selections of the Jesse H. Shera awards for scholarship and publication.  See how Benjamin S. Rawlins from the University of Kentucky has assessed transformative agreements.  While you are there, you may also be interested to learn how Jacqueline Kociubuk, doctoral candidate from the University of Wisconsin, Madison will be examining how self-care children find public libraries to be a meaningful place.  You will also learn about the Virtual Research Mentoring Program, the impact of our Research Webinars, the success of the Library Research Symposium hosted by University of Kentucky, and who will be leading the LRRT into the coming years.

The program is on Monday, June 30th, at 9am in Room 117.  Share on your ALA Scheduler: ALA 2025 Annual Conference
