The mission of the Library Research Round Table (LRRT) is to contribute toward the extension and improvement of library research; to provide public program opportunities for describing and evaluating library research projects and for disseminating their findings; to inform and educate ALA members concerning research techniques and their usefulness in obtaining information with which to reach administrative decisions and solve problems; and expand the theoretical base of the field. LRRT also, serves as a forum for discussion and action on issues related to the literature and information needs for the field of library and information science.

    Would you like to work with a research team to advance public libraries by identifying their opportunities, areas of concern, and future directions? Are you a current graduate student in a library or information science program or a program in a related discipline? Then we have an opportunity for you at OCLC Research as a Research Assistant!

    As a member of the OCLC Research team, the Research Assistant will work in a team environment in the design, implementation, and execution of a public library research and learning agenda. This includes the collection and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data; searching for and summarizing existing public library literature; and disseminating findings in reports, presentations, and publications.

    The Research Assistant is required to physically work in the OCLC office in Dublin, OH several days/week. The maximum hours/week is 30.
